Vegetarian Kofta

Vegetarian Kofta is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for a comforting meal. It is made with a mixture of grated vegetables, such as zucchini, carrots, and potatoes, that are bound together with flour and spices. The mixture is then shaped into balls and fried until golden brown. These koftas can be served with a rich tomato-based sauce or a creamy yogurt sauce.


  • 2 cups grated zucchini
  • 2 cups grated carrots
  • 2 cups grated potatoes
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated zucchini, grated carrots, grated potatoes, flour, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Carefully place the kofta balls in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve with your favorite sauce.
